Bellevue is a 17th Century manor house set in private grounds of 6 acres surrounded by vineyards and rolling countryside right in the heart of Cognac country.
Up until a decade ago it was an important Cognac distillery now privately owned by an English couple who have lived in the area for several years, Bellevue has been carefully renovated. Parts of the estate have now been sympathetically converted and restored to provide luxurious accommodation with a refined and contemporary décor which offers you a truly stylish and personalised welcome.

Accommodation is in five stylish contemporary gites created in our renovated distillery. Each offers three spacious bedrooms with two fabulous bathrooms. All of our gites are fully equipped and cater for all your requirements.
Located on the ground floor there is a spacious twin bedroom with deluxe wet room, modern fully equipped kitchen, large living room with satellite TV/DVD and French patio doors with your own private terrace and barbeque, enjoying panoramic views over the surrounding countryside.
Upstairs there are two further bedrooms. The master king has a king size double bed, mini bar and French doors with balcony views. The second bedroom has twin beds. The second large bathroom has separate bath and shower plus a double vanity unit.
The sofa bed in the lounge allows accommodation for a further two people. We also have cots and bedding should any of your guests have small children.

Enjoy a tradition in France, play Boules or petanque. For the more energetic there are mountain bikes available for trails through the vineyards and countryside.
Fabulous heated indoor swimming pool connected to an outside sun kissed terrace, offering year round swimming. Also enjoy our outside swimming pool, sunbathe those lazy days away by our wonderful pool surrounded by 360 degree views of the stunning countryside.

Situated on the Atlantic coast sandwiched between the vineyards of Bordeaux and the spectacular châteaux of the Loire Valley is Poitou-Charentes, a top tourist destination and one of the sunniest parts of France’s western coast.
Bellevue a charming 300 year old charentaise distillery couldn’t be located in a more beautiful area. Set in wonderful countryside in the heart of the cognac vineyards with stunning views over the Birac valley we are situated 10 minutes from the main national route N10 that runs through France and beyond.
Bellevue is perfectly placed for you to enjoy the wonders of the Charente.
Chateauneuf-sur-Charente which sits on the beautiful River Charente is just 3km away. Here you will find all the conveniences you need including large supermarkets, restaurants, shops, chemists and not forgetting the local ‘caves’ packed full of the regions finest produce. Angouleme and Cognac are both within easy reach, less than 30 minutes away
Angouleme known as the ‘Capital of the Comic strip’ is a medieval city perched high on a hill behind ramparts with winding streets and a wealth of art and history. There are 6 museums, the National Centre for the comic strip, cathedrals including the imposing Romanesque cathedral of Saint Pierre and of course fantastic restaurants and a vast choice of shopping to satisfy everyone.
Cognac, Capital of ‘The nectar of the Gods’
Cognac whose name speaks for itself is on the river Charente and is full of interesting cognac distilleries, boutique shops, river trips and wonderful restaurants incorporating many different international cuisines.
Visit one of the many Cognac houses for a guided tour and learn about its production which has been in place for hundreds of years.
An hour’s drive from Bellevue will take you to Bordeaux.
Bordeaux, lying next to the River Garonne is the wine capital of the world. A stunning city steeped in history and culture is now a world heritage site.
A wealth of excellent shopping dining and entertainment awaits you, making Bordeaux perfect for a packed family day out.
